HARIBO the world's leading manufacturer of fruit gum products has established HARIBO Korea Ltd. on January 2nd, 2023. HARIBO has been active in the South Korean market under the leadership of the business unit HARIBO Asia Pacific since 2012. During the last ten years HARIBO has become the market leader for fruit gum in South Korea. The step that has been taken now underlines the importance of the South Korean market for HARIBO and the company commitment to develop the fruit gum category in the country. As part of this, starting from March 2022, James Lee has been appointed as Country Manager for Korea. “HARIBO was created to inspire moments of childlike happiness”, explains Nikolay Karpuzov, Head of HARIBO Asia Pacific in Singapore. “The need for small moments of joy is what connects us especially in challenging times. That’s why HARIBO today is the leading jelly brand in South Korea. More than 85 percent of Koreans know HARIBO, and 55 percent have bought products from the company in recent months. In order to continue building the category and developing our business we have established a new country organization in South Korea.
